Towards a Virtual Assistant for Performers and Stage Directors

چکیده
In this article, we present the first step of our research work to design a Virtual Assistant for Performers and Stage Directors, able to give a feedback from performances. We use a methodology to automatically construct fuzzy rules in a Fuzzy Rule-Based System that detects contextual emotions from an actor's performance during a show. We collect video data from a lot of performances of the same show from which it should be possible to visualize all the emotions and intents or more precisely “intent graphs”. To perform this, the collected data defining low-level descriptors are aggregated and converted into high-level characterizations. Then, depending on the retrieved data and on their distribution on the axis, we partition the universes into classes. The last step is the building of the fuzzy rules that are obtained from the classes and that permit to give conclusions to label the detected emotions.

متن کاملLinking between real and virtual spaces: building the Mixed Reality stage environment
This paper is concerned with the concept of a Mixed Reality (MR) stage environment as networked layering of physical space and virtual environments. The MR stage enables multiple performers to interact through intuitive free body interfaces. The goal is the creation of interface environments which allow participants to communicate in shared and remote physical spaces through their natural sense...
متن کاملReflets: combining and revealing spaces for musical performances
We present Reflets, a mixed-reality environment for musical performances that allows for freely displaying virtual content on stage, such as 3D virtual musical interfaces or visual augmentations of instruments and performers. It relies on spectators and performers revealing virtual objects by slicing through them with body parts or objects, and on planar slightly reflective transparent panels t...

متن کاملANALYSIS OF EXPRESSING AUDIENCES IN A CYBER−THEATER (WedAmPO1)
This paper studies how audiences should be expressed in a Cyber− theater, in which remotely located persons can direct plays as directors, perform as performers and/or see the performances as audiences through a networked virtual environment. It is noted that the audience effect has been widely acknowledged in the real−world theater: that is, the audience reaction has a significant effect on th...
